Created by American producer Riot Games in October 2009, the game is inspired by the highly acclaimed Warcraft 3 Defense of the Ancients ( DotA ) map. Extremely simple, it has two battlegrounds: Twisted Treeline (three players per team) and Summoners Rift (five players per team).
Each player represents a summoner, a powerful wizard capable of bringing his soldiers to the battlefield.
